About the role#
This is a strategic position within the finance department at XNRGY Climate Systems. As a Cost Analyst Intern, you will support the development of our finance function by improving and structuring processes to help the company manage its expansion. You will report to the Financial Controller and focus on project profitability and accurate cost accounting. You will also develop new tools to track expenses and analyze financial data.
What you'll do#
- Support monthly budget-to-actual variance analysis during the month-end close process.
- Create additional reports to explain financial variances.
- Identify issues in financial data and recommend corrective actions to improve data quality.
- Perform balance sheet account analyses to ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to solve problems and share updates on financial forecasts.
- Assist the Financial Controller with priority projects and initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
- A detail-oriented approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across teams.
- A proactive mindset and a strong sense of accountability.
