About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship at Martin Sprocket & Gear. You will gain exposure to the quote and order process by shadowing staff in Sales, Engineering, and Production. This role is based on-site at our Ayr, Ontario location.
What you'll do#
- Shadow team members in Sales, Engineering, and Production.
- Handle sales tasks like preparing quotes, entering orders, and creating reports.
- Work on specific projects assigned by the sales or engineering departments.
- Attend weekly training sessions with the sales manager.
- Complete weekly reports detailing your tasks and the skills you have learned.
- Provide general support to the sales team and other departments as needed.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering. Related majors are also considered.
- You can evaluate situations, solve problems, and make decisions independently.
- You have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- You are detail-oriented and produce accurate work.
- You work well in a team setting and are reliable.

- Location: Ayr, Ontario, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm.
