Co-Op/ Practicum Student

About the role#

This is a paid, full-time Co-Op or Practicum opportunity based in Prince George, British Columbia. The role is on-site and follows a rolling application term. Students pursuing degrees in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Biology, or Biomedical Sciences are encouraged to apply.

What you'll do#

• Provide support to assigned departments across various projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete tasks and develop solutions.
• Gain professional exposure to environmental services and vegetation management roles.
• Participate in process improvement and automation projects.
• Learn the specific technology and systems used by your assigned department.
• Network with internal teams and support the company culture of safety and employee ownership.

What you'll need#

• A career interest in environmental services or vegetation management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in multiple locations.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Self-motivation and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• A valid Class 5 Driver’s License and current Driver’s Abstract are considered assets.
• Possession of, or willingness to obtain, Intermediate or Advanced First Aid certification is considered an asset.
