About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Co-Op or Practicum opportunity based in Prince George, British Columbia. Students will gain professional exposure to environmental services and vegetation management roles while working on diverse projects. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and learning the specific technologies used within the assigned department.
What you'll do#
- Provide support to assigned departments on various projects.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks and develop solutions.
- Participate in process improvement and automation projects.
- Learn the technology and systems specific to the assigned department.
- Network with internal teams and support company safety and operational policies.
- Perform physical tasks as required, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a program related to Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Biology, or Biomedical Sciences.
- A career interest in environmental services or vegetation management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team of cross-functional experts.
- Strong English communication skills for interacting with employees and vendors.
- A valid Class 5 Driver’s License and a current Driver’s Abstract are considered assets.
- Possession of, or willingness to obtain, Intermediate or Advanced First Aid certification is considered an asset.
