About the role#
WithersRavenel is looking for a Residential Land Development Engineering Intern to join the team for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid internship based in our Charlotte office. You will gain experience by working on real-world projects and observing how engineering designs move from initial concepts to final completion.
What you'll do#
- Assist with data review and research relevant codes and standards.
- Help develop layouts, design concepts, and detailed drawings.
- Use industry software to generate drawings, reports, and other project deliverables.
- Support the team by keeping projects organized.
- Observe the design process from concept to completion.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- You want to apply your classroom learning to actual projects.
- You are detail-oriented, organized, and ready to collaborate with others.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Microsoft Office is a plus.

- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Term: Summer 2027 (mid-May through early August).
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Paid internship with a housing stipend provided.
- Note: This role may require infrequent evening or weekend work, outdoor job site visits, and the ability to carry equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
