About the role#
Knorr-Bremse AG is hiring an intern for the Health, Safety, and Environmental team. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Springfield, Missouri. The role is offered on a rolling basis.
What you'll do#
- Develop and implement programs to improve environmental efficiency, employee safety, and equipment ergonomics.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on sustainability, environmental, and operational safety metrics.
- Join new equipment launch teams to perform job hazard analysis, machine guarding assessments, and waste evaluations.
- Investigate occupational injuries, property loss events, and environmental incidents.
- Create training materials and communications to build safety and environmental awareness.
- Support process safety improvement projects using lean and six sigma tools.
- Work with internal teams to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and ISO standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, or Industrial Hygiene.
- You must be entering your Junior year of study.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Strong skills in communication, organization, and collaboration.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
