About the role#
We are looking for a Site Civil Engineering Intern to join our team in Cary for the Summer 2027 term. This is a paid, full-time position running from mid-May through early August. You will assist our engineers with project tasks and gain experience seeing designs move from concept to completion. A housing stipend is provided for the summer.
What you'll do#
- Research codes and standards while assisting with data review.
- Help develop layouts, design concepts, and detailed drawings.
- Use software like AutoCAD and Civil 3D to produce reports, drawings, and other project deliverables.
- Support team members in keeping project documentation organized.
- Visit job sites outdoors as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- An interest in applying your classroom knowledge to real-world projects.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D.
- Ability to carry equipment weighing up to 25 pounds and travel in a vehicle as needed.
