About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in audit work. You will work alongside professionals from all levels of the firm to support client engagements. This is a full-time position for the Winter 2028 term.
What you'll do#
- Perform audit, review, and compliance testing procedures based on professional standards.
- Gather information from clients to complete required documentation.
- Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, management reports, and other engagement outputs.
- Respond to requests from clients and firm associates in a professional manner.
- Use data analysis to find patterns and support recommendations.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelors or Master’s degree in Accounting.
- Completion of a corporate or individual taxation class.
- Working towards eligibility to sit for the CPA exam upon graduation.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Coursework in Data Analytics or Big Data is preferred.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Chicago, Illinois.
- Work Modality: This role is strictly on-site. You will work 5 days a week in the Wipfli office or at client sites.
