About the role#
Wilson & Company is hiring a Funding Services Intern to join our team in Salina, Kansas. This role supports communities and public agencies by identifying and securing funding for infrastructure projects. You will work with a team of specialists, engineers, and planners to navigate the funding lifecycle for projects like transportation, water systems, and public facilities.
What you'll do#
- Research federal, state, local, and private funding opportunities for infrastructure projects.
- Review program guidelines and requirements to determine project eligibility.
- Assist with writing grant applications, including project narratives and supporting documentation.
- Compile demographic, economic, safety, and infrastructure data to support funding strategies.
- Support post-award administration by preparing progress reports and tracking project expenditures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in public administration, public policy, planning, business, communications, economics, political science, engineering, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical and research capabilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Salina, Kansas.
- This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling start date.
- We are not currently offering work visa sponsorship for this role.
