About the role#
This is a temporary, paid internship with the County of Adams. It is a full-time, on-site position based in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The term is rolling per semester, and the role does not include benefits.
What you'll do#
- Draft legal opinions and memoranda under the guidance of an assigned Judge.
- Interact with Court Administration and the Courts.
- Coordinate with the Department of Probation Services and the Domestic Relations Section.
- Communicate with the District Attorney’s Office, Children and Youth Services, the Clerk of Courts, and the Prothonotary’s Office regarding active cases.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Current enrollment in an accredited law school working toward a Juris Doctor degree.
- Familiarity with legal processes, statutes, and relevant laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and contemporary office practices.
- Ability to pass background checks and clearances, including fingerprinting.
