About the role#
The District Attorney office offers part-time legal internships for law students. This role involves entry-level legal work under the Student Practice Act, including the potential for criminal prosecution of misdemeanors and traffic offenses in County Court. This is a paid position.
What you'll do#
- Attend arraignments, pre-trial conferences, and sentencing conferences in assigned areas.
- Prepare and present jury trials and trials to the Court.
- Assist the County Court Deputy during trials as required.
- Support citizens through phone interactions or in-office assistance.
- Operate within the authorized practice of the Student Practice Act.
- Maintain reliable and predictable attendance during assigned work hours.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a 2L, 3L, or Juris Doctorate student.
- Effective and professional oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and process information efficiently.
- Capacity to remain professional and composed while interacting with others in the legal process.
- Ability to utilize and learn new technology skills effectively.

- Location: Centennial, Colorado.
- Term: Summer 2026 and Fall 2026.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $15.16 per hour.
