The District Attorney’s office offers part-time legal internships for law students. Interns perform professional entry-level legal work under the Student Practice Act, including the potential responsibility for criminal prosecution of misdemeanors and traffic offenses in County Court.
What you'll do#
- Attend arraignments, pre-trial conferences, and sentencing conferences in assigned areas.
- Prepare and present jury trials and trials to the Court.
- Assist the County Court Deputy in trials as required.
- Provide assistance to citizens via phone or in the office.
- Perform legal duties within the authorized practice of the Student Practice Act.
- Maintain reliable and predictable attendance during assigned work hours.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a 2L or 3L student, or completion of a Juris Doctorate.
- Effective and professional oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and process information effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to remain professional and composed while interacting with others in the legal process.
- Ability to utilize technology effectively and learn new technology skills.

- Location: Centennial, Colorado.
- Terms: Summer 2026 and Fall 2026.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $15.16 per hour.
