About the role#
The Utah Office of Data Privacy is hiring a Data Privacy Legal Intern. This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Taylorsville, Utah. The position operates on a rolling basis.
What you'll do#
You will support various programs within the office, with a primary focus on the development of new data governance models. Your daily work involves researching, reviewing, and analyzing legal materials. You will summarize your findings to support the team. Specific tasks include:
- Researching state and federal constitutional provisions, laws, rules, and regulations.
- Reviewing executive orders, ordinances, and internal policies of governmental entities.
- Analyzing court decisions and administrative rulings.
- Summarizing proposed state and federal legislation.

- Current enrollment or background in Political Science.
