College Intern

About the role#

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers and Architects is seeking a Civil Engineering intern for our Omaha office. This is a paid, year-round internship designed to provide students with hands-on experience on real-world projects while working alongside experienced engineers. This role offers an introduction to our firm's culture and provides an opportunity to evaluate a career path in civil engineering.

What you'll do#

• Apply classroom knowledge to practical engineering projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and partners to develop solutions for the built environment.
• Solve complex technical problems under the supervision of a Project Engineer.
• Actively participate in team-based project work for our clients.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a Civil Engineering student.
• Interest in a career within civil works, including highway, municipal roadway, or drainage engineering.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Dependability, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to manage a balance between academic, personal, and internship responsibilities.
