College Intern

About the role#

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers and Architects is seeking a College Intern for our Phoenix, Arizona office. This is a paid, year-round, full-time opportunity focused on Transportation Engineering. You will work under the direct supervision of a Project Engineer or Project Manager to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world projects.

What you'll do#

• Perform hands-on work to gain experience in highway, municipal roadway, and traffic engineering.
• Assist project managers and collaborate with partners to produce client visions for the built environment.
• Solve complex problems as an active member of the project team.
• Receive hands-on and tutorial training from experienced engineers.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled as a student in Civil Engineering with an interest in Transportation Engineering.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong problem-solving, written, and oral communication skills.
• A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
• The ability to manage a balance between school, work, and personal demands.

• Location: Phoenix, Arizona.
• Modality: This is an on-site position; no remote work is anticipated.
• Commute: Ability to commute between school and the office is required.
