About the role#
As a Nuclear Operations intern, you will gain experience working on reactor projects including the AP300 SMR, the eVinci microreactor, and the AP1000 fleet. You will report to the Engineering Manager and work from our Etna facility. This is a full-time, paid position for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Develop procedures for how control room operators run plants.
- Work alongside industry professionals to learn the technical and professional sides of the nuclear field.
- Support technology development for incore instrumentation, reactivity computers, and other testing equipment.
- Gain exposure to both the current operating fleet and next-generation nuclear plants.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program in nuclear engineering.
- Completion of your sophomore year of college.
- We will consider students in mechanical, computer, electrical, chemical, or industrial engineering if you hold a Reactor Operator license at a university reactor.
