About the role#
Join the Operations Engineering Intern Program to support the reliability and efficiency of our electrical transmission system. You will contribute to projects that keep power flowing to homes and businesses across the Midwest.
What you'll do#
- Analyze transmission system issues and perform event reviews.
- Support the development of operating plans used by System Operators.
- Partner with other utilities and regulatory entities on outage coordination.
- Help improve processes that support electric grid reliability.
- Gain hands-on experience in real-time operations and reliability strategy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Interest in how the transmission grid supports sustainable energy.
- Critical thinking skills and curiosity about system operations.
- Ability to work independently and on cross-functional teams.

- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in Pewaukee, Wisconsin.
