    About the role#

    ATC is looking for a Civil Design Engineering Intern to support our design engineers and designers. You will work on real utility projects and gain experience in civil design and transmission engineering practices.

    What you'll do#

    • Acquire and organize engineering records and data for design development.
    • Participate in material procurement and support project design documentation.
    • Assist in preparing detailed drawings and conducting structural analysis.
    • Review and integrate field markups into finalized as-built drawings.
    • Update asset databases and confirm field conditions to ensure design accuracy.
    • Review external engineering consultant scopes of services for cost, schedule, and project scope alignment.
    • Occasionally participate in field work to verify design implementations.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program for Civil Engineering.
    • An interest in utility design and infrastructure development.
    • Working knowledge of CAD tools such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.
    • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
    • A valid driver license for occasional field visits.

    • Locations: Pewaukee, De Pere, or Cottage Grove, Wisconsin.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Schedule: Full time.
    • Compensation: $23 to $27 per hour.
    • Work modality: On-site.
