About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to develop engineering skills within the natural gas industry. You will build a working knowledge of gas transmission and distribution while gaining exposure to project management, facility operations, and asset systems. This is a full-time position based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support network models of gas distribution systems.
- Review and analyze gas asset information in data systems and perform updates.
- Participate in training to learn about the natural gas industry, construction standards, and work procedures.
- Perform site visits to observe utility construction, maintenance, and customer service functions.
- Design and generate reports for engineering, regulatory, and operational requests.
- Assist engineers with capital construction projects.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma, GED, or HSED.
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
- Graduation date of July 2027 or later.
- Minimum GPA of 2.8.

- Compensation: $23.10 to $27.55 per hour.
