About the role#
VT Industries is hiring a Corporate Human Resources Intern to work on-site in Holstein, Iowa. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term. You will support the HR department with daily operations while maintaining strict confidentiality and protecting company information.
What you'll do#
- Provide customer service to employees and applicants by explaining policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Handle administrative tasks such as organizing files, answering phones, managing office supplies, and sorting mail.
- Assist with the hiring process by greeting applicants, administering tests, coordinating interviews, and leading new hire orientations.
- Manage electronic and personnel records for corporate and local salaried staff.
- Update the HR database with new hires, transfers, and terminations.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by your manager.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- You must be entering your Junior or Senior year of college.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- A professional and respectful attitude toward all employees and customers.
Location & details#
- Location: Holstein, Iowa.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Physical requirements include sitting for long periods, typing, and occasional light lifting up to 25 pounds. You may need to travel between facilities to perform your duties.
