About the role#
This is a full-time internship position for Summer 2027 based in Greensboro, North Carolina. We are looking for students who have previously connected with us at a Fall 2026 Campus Recruitment Activity. You will work on-site as part of a global team focused on product development and manufacturing for heavy truck components.
What you'll do#
- Support multiple projects simultaneously across product development and manufacturing.
- Collaborate with design teams on material solutions for current and future heavy truck components.
- Research and test materials, including automotive grade steel and composites.
- Evaluate failure mechanisms in heavy truck applications and identify appropriate material solutions.
- Assist with material specifications, technical regulations, and testing plans.
- Utilize joining techniques for similar and dissimilar materials, including mechanical fastening and adhesives.
- Work with research facilities to advance material development and innovation.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree program.
- Completion of at least 30 semester hours of undergraduate coursework.
- A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75.

- Location: Greensboro, North Carolina.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, up to 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: Paid position with an hourly range of $17.00 - $46.00, depending on factors such as academic classification and location.
