About the role#
Vital Lyfe is seeking a Mechanical Engineering intern for the Fall 2026 term. This full-time, on-site role focuses on the development of desalination and water treatment technologies. You will work directly with the engineering team on hardware development and system optimization.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate on the design and optimization of high-pressure systems.
- Assist in prototyping, testing, and refining lightweight mechanical components.
- Analyze materials and system designs to ensure reliability and performance.
- Engage in hands-on work with development hardware, which requires standing, crouching, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering degree program.
- Academic or practical experience in fluid dynamics, circuit design, thermodynamics, and material science.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Los Angeles, California.
- The role is 100% on-site; remote or hybrid arrangements are not available.
- This is a paid, full-time internship for the Fall 2026 term.
