About the role#
We are looking for a Procurement Intern to join our team in Westerville for the summer of 2027. This role offers hands-on experience in procurement processes and supplier management. You will work on daily department activities and contribute to projects that support our operational goals. We are looking for students who plan to graduate in December 2027 or May 2028 and reside in the Columbus, Ohio area.
What you'll do#
- Assist the procurement department with daily tasks and ongoing projects.
- Track and report cost savings.
- Research potential suppliers and gather information on their pricing and services.
- Collaborate with category managers to identify savings opportunities and analyze spend data.
- Support sourcing activities, including preparing RFx documents and evaluating supplier proposals.
- Help refresh category strategies by gathering market intelligence and benchmarking data.
- Identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- A willingness to learn and produce high-quality work.
- A focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Demonstrated work ethic and attention to detail.
