About the role#
The Supply Chain Management Internship at nVent offers hands-on experience within a global manufacturing environment. Interns support various facets of the supply chain function through one of two career tracks: Materials & Sourcing or Operations & Logistics. This is a 12-week full-time program designed to provide professional development through on-the-job training, mentorship, and networking with early-career professionals and leadership.
What you'll do#
- Participate in inventory analytics and build or improve internal tools.
- Track weekly and monthly KPI actuals against set goals.
- Assist with ERP improvement projects and support the monthly SIOP reporting cadence.
- Drive delivery performance improvements through data-driven tool enhancements.
- Support PFEP and Kanban implementation efforts.
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis and reporting.
- Identify areas of growth and concern, contributing to projects that address them.
- Participate in global logistics system integrations, including ERP, WMS, and TMS.
- Drive business process optimization through automation, system enhancements, and data governance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver logistics system enhancements.
- Support digital transformation initiatives to improve efficiency and customer experience.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, engineering, or operations management.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Ability to complete a 12-week full-time internship from June to August 2027.
- Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Experience with data analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau, SQL, Python, or Power BI.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated leadership experience or previous internship experience.
- A collaborative mindset, resilience, and the energy to learn.
