About the role#
The Global Sourcing team manages all direct procurement for hardware, covering cost management from final assembly to sub-tier suppliers. This includes testing, certification, and capital expenditure oversight. As a Global Sourcing Specialist (Co-op), you will support direct sourcing strategy and execution for a product line, acting as a primary commercial contact for supplier relationships and contract management.
What you'll do#
- Support senior team members with end-to-end hardware sourcing responsibilities during new product introduction and mass production phases.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts, including cost management and margin analysis for systems and individual commodities.
- Identify and manage suppliers, including relationship management, audits, and onboarding.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new products to market.
What you'll need#
- BS or MS degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a similar field.
- Previous internship experience delivering results on hardware operations challenges.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
- Willingness to work across different time zones and attend meetings outside of traditional business hours.
- Ability to work on-site 5 days per week.
