About the role#
As a Technical Support Engineering Intern, you will work directly with our full-time engineering teams to solve real-world problems. You will work with cloud-managed IoT technology at our San Mateo headquarters. This role involves assisting enterprise clients with system design and troubleshooting. You will contribute to product development by testing new hardware and software.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot complex network, hardware, and software issues on our platform.
- Provide advice to customers regarding smart system design and integration.
- Communicate technical information to users through phone calls, live chat, and emails.
- Own customer issues from the initial report through to the final resolution.
- Partner with Engineering and Product teams to test new equipment and identify bugs.
- Write and maintain Knowledge Base content for our users.
What you'll need#
- You are a third or fourth-year student in a Bachelor's degree program.
- Your studies focus on a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Networking, Telecommunications, Systems Administration, or Information Technology.
- You have coursework experience with computer networking, Linux, and computer systems.
- You are a problem-solver who pays close attention to detail.
- You can communicate complex technical information clearly and confidently.
- You work well in a team environment.
- Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, or Network+ are a bonus.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in San Mateo, California.
- The term for this position is Winter 2027.
- This is a paid position.
