About the role#
This 10-week summer internship places you directly on an investment team at Verition Fund Management. You will work alongside Portfolio Managers and experienced analysts to gain a view of how a multi-strategy hedge fund operates. The program includes a dedicated mentor group, a speaker series with firm leaders, and professional development opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Partner with a Portfolio Manager to identify, evaluate, and deploy data-driven insights.
- Contribute to strategic projects that go beyond your daily team tasks.
- Compete in a trading simulation with the entire intern class to build foundational market knowledge.
- Present your work and ideas to senior leaders throughout the summer.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or PhD in finance, economics, applied mathematics, statistics, business, computer science, or a related field.
- Strong technical, analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with machine learning and AI applications.
- A demonstrated interest in hedge funds and financial services.
