About the role#
The Systems and Process Improvement Intern will work with the Finance team to support financial operations, accounting processes, and strategic initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of Finance and IT, focusing on system improvements, data integrity, and workflow automation. It is designed for students interested in how technology can improve the accuracy, efficiency, and usability of financial workflows.
What you'll do#
- Shadow Finance team members to understand current workflows, document process steps, and identify opportunities to reduce manual work.
- Assist in researching, testing, and documenting opportunities to automate or streamline financial reporting and accounting processes.
- Collaborate with Finance and IT on financial systems projects, including ERP upgrades and data integrity initiatives.
- Prepare presentations, summaries, reports, and other materials for the CFO, COO, and senior leadership.
- Contribute to ad hoc financial projects and process improvement efforts as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of GAAP and corporate finance principles.
- Interest in technology, process automation, and the responsible use of AI tools in finance and accounting workflows.
- Ability to learn new systems, ask thoughtful questions, and work independently with appropriate guidance.
- Curiosity, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to turn observations into practical recommendations.

- This is a paid, full-time internship for the Fall 2026 term.
- The role is based in Brooklyn, New York.
- The position follows a hybrid work modality, with an in-office requirement of approximately 10 days per month.
