About the role#
The Pima County Department of Finance & Risk Management is seeking an intern for the Grants Finance Division. This role provides hands-on experience in public sector finance, offering insight into the full lifecycle of grant financial management, budgeting, and compliance. You will work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
What you'll do#
- Support grant financial activities across various County departments.
- Assist with data extraction and analysis using Excel and other financial systems.
- Gain exposure to grant budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance support processes.
- Perform a variety of administrative, operational, or technical tasks as assigned by the department.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a sophomore, junior, or senior, or recent graduate from an accredited college or university.
- Academic background in accounting, finance, business analytics, or a closely related field.
- Strong analytical skills and a demonstrated interest in public sector finance and grant administration.
- Detail-oriented approach to tasks and data management.
- Familiarity with financial systems and proficiency in Excel.

- Compensation: $17.04 - $23.02 per hour.
