About the role#
This internship focuses on the intersection of platform engineering, security, and AI development. You will work within a large, production-grade codebase to build infrastructure and AI agents that support data resilience and security operations. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Write backend code and automation using Go.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications across Kubernetes clusters and AWS infrastructure.
- Build long-running agents for the Securiti AI and Veeam platforms.
- Create Agent Evaluation Pipelines to measure reliability and task completion.
- Construct knowledge discovery pipelines to process institutional data for AI agents.
- Analyze Kubernetes configurations to find and fix security gaps.
- Manage the CVE lifecycle by identifying and patching vulnerabilities in container images.
- Develop internal tooling, testing harnesses, and security utilities.
- Run and validate API and cross-service integration tests.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a rising junior, senior, or graduate student in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Proficiency in a major programming language, preferably Python, Go, or Java.
- Understanding of core data structures, algorithms, and independent debugging.
- Familiarity with Cyber and Data Security practices.
- Foundational knowledge of AI Agents, LLMs, and Agent Evaluations.
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerization.
- Basic knowledge of Git and GitHub.
- Ability to work independently with limited direction.
Location & details#
- Location: San Jose, California.
- Modality: This position is on-site, 5 days a week.
- Term: Summer 2027 (10-12 weeks, June through August).
