About the role#
VanEck is looking for an Institutional Sales Summer Intern to join our team in New York for the summer of 2027. This full-time, paid internship provides exposure to our institutional sales operations, including the internal sales desk and key accounts. You will work alongside our team to support business development efforts and gain insight into the financial services industry.
What you'll do#
- Research sales prospecting data to support the institutional team.
- Mine databases to identify competitor fund allocations and institutional clients to build a marketing database.
- Gather and prioritize competitor marketing outlooks, whitepapers, and positioning.
- Assist in the planning and preparation of materials for team and summer meetings.
- Develop knowledge of market segments such as public and private pensions, foundations, endowments, family offices, investment consultants, and private banks.
What you'll need#
- You are currently entering your junior year or beyond in a 4-year college program, pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Finance.
- A proven interest in business development, sales analytics, and research.
- Good communication skills.
- A roll-up your sleeves work ethic.
- The ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Familiarity with the internet, MS Word, and Excel is helpful but not required.
- Prior experience in a corporate environment is helpful but not required.
