About the role#
The Logistics Intern role at Valeo is a year-round position based in Highland Park, Michigan. This role requires full-time availability during the summer of 2027, with the opportunity to continue on a part-time basis during the academic year. Please note that this position does not offer visa sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily logistics operations, including the management of inbound and outbound freight.
- Support inventory management tasks such as cycle counting, discrepancy resolution, and stock level optimization.
- Coordinate shipments to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with customer requirements.
- Analyze logistics performance data to identify areas for operational improvement.
- Prepare logistics reports and presentations.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, including production and purchasing, as well as external partners like carriers and suppliers.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A strong interest in logistics and supply chain operations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented approach with solid organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with ERP or WMS systems is considered a plus.
