About the role#
The International Co-op Officer helps expand program offerings within the Engineering Career Centre. This role focuses on developing international experiences for undergraduate and graduate students in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering. You will work within a team of approximately 30 experiential education professionals to manage strategic partnerships and facilitate international work terms for the PEY Co-op program.
What you'll do#
- Build and strengthen relationships with strategic stakeholders and partners.
- Develop and manage partnerships with international organizations and negotiate co-op agreements.
- Conduct labour market analysis to inform program development.
- Create and implement plans to support recruitment strategies and work-integrated learning opportunities.
- Promote programs, student interests, and employer engagement through recruitment events and campus activities.
- Develop career-related programming and provide individual coaching and guidance to students.
- Implement feedback mechanisms to support continuous program improvement.
- Analyze data and prepare reports to increase employer visibility.
What you'll need#
- A Master's degree or an equivalent combination of experience.
- At least five years of experience in an academic experiential learning environment.
- Minimum two years of experience working with industry partners to facilitate work-integrated learning placements, including international placements.
- Experience creating business development plans and leading career-related workshops.
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs, Learning Management Systems like Moodle or Canvas, and CRM tools such as Orbis or Symplicity.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex processes to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- A demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.

- Employment Type: Full-time, term position ending in December 2027.
- Compensation: USW Pay Band 14, with a starting salary of $95,344 and progression to a maximum of $121,932.
