About the role#
As a Student Associate, you act as the primary point of contact for IT support at the University of Cincinnati. You will diagnose user issues, provide technical guidance, and help resolve problems. This role involves managing incoming inquiries via phone, email, or remote tools to ensure students, faculty, and staff receive the assistance they need.
What you'll do#
- Provide Tier 1 consultative and technical support to the university community.
- Document, triage, and escalate service requests to senior staff when necessary.
- Assess the severity of incoming problems to determine the correct priority.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and provide instructions on how to request specific services.
- Offer directory assistance to callers.
- Maintain a helpful and patient approach while delivering customer service.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment at a secondary or post-secondary institution.
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- Enrollment status requires at least part-time credit hours, except during summer or between academic terms.
