About the role#
University Enterprises, Inc. is hiring two student assistants to support the Communications Department. This part-time role focuses on public relations and public affairs projects. You will work in an office environment in Sacramento, California.
What you'll do#
- Research story ideas and write press releases to support global public relations.
- Monitor news and social media coverage while coordinating with partners.
- Help develop and execute public affairs campaigns.
- Prepare written materials including opinion editorials and legislative communications.
- Track partner outreach and engagement using Salesforce.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student at an accredited institution on the company affiliation list.
- A declared major in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Public Affairs, or related fields.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a firm grasp of AP style.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to conduct research and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Sacramento, California.
- You must reside and work in California throughout the course of your employment.
- This is a paid, non-benefited, part-time position.
- Work hours are flexible, Monday through Friday, between 8 AM and 5 PM.
- Students generally work up to 24 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours during breaks.
