About the role#
This position provides administrative and operational support for the Headquarters and Sacramento Legal Offices. You will work under the supervision of a Manager II to gain hands-on experience in a public sector environment. This is a part-time, temporary role focused on building skills in financial processing and general office operations.
What you'll do#
- Input and maintain data in spreadsheets, databases, or the Legal Case Management system.
- Track incoming invoices, date stamp them upon arrival, and coordinate with the contract manager to resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and send invoices for payment.
- Manage document workflows including downloading, uploading, copying, scanning, filing, and mailing.
- Maintain office logs and assist with the planning and logistics of meetings and events.
- Keep office areas clean and organized.
- Perform basic accounting and analytical tasks.
- Assist team members with various administrative assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student in Law, Business Administration, or Communications.
- Undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least six semester units or nine quarter units.
- Graduate students must be enrolled in at least four semester units or six quarter units.
- A minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to organize files and maintain logs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to initiate contact when necessary.
- Capability to cooperate with team members and adapt to changing priorities.
Location & details#
- Location: Sacramento, California.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, between 8 AM and 5 PM. You may work up to 24 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during breaks.
- Compensation: $18.27 to $33.52 per hour.
