About the role#
We are looking for researchers and engineers to bridge the gap between robot foundation models and production deployments. Your work will focus on post-training models and conducting research to improve task performance in both our lab and at real customer sites. We prioritize speed and reliability for our industrial customers.
What you'll do#
- Improve how our robots learn new tasks and execute them quickly and reliably.
- Lead research to improve model robustness and performance for real-world tasks.
- Integrate trained models with our production robotics stack.
- Collaborate with deployment teams to scale models across customer sites.
What you'll need#
- Experience fine-tuning large models for downstream tasks such as imitation learning or reinforcement learning.
- Ability to own research efforts from start to finish with high agency.
- A focus on evaluation, benchmarking, and failure analysis.
- A generalist mindset with an interest in working across the full machine learning stack.
- Interest in seeing robots make an impact in real-world environments.
- Hands-on experience applying machine learning to robotics is preferred.
- An MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related field is preferred.
