About the role#
This year-round internship provides hands-on experience with the Walmart sales team. You will work alongside team members on projects that support our largest customer. The role offers a look at how sales, category management, analytics, and supply chain groups work together. You will build skills through project-based work during the school year and the summer.
What you'll do#
- Support the sales team with data analysis, ad hoc reporting, and automating weekly reports.
- Identify sales trends, track product launches, and flag pricing gaps or out-of-stocks.
- Prepare materials for customer meetings and assist with ad hoc requests like sample management.
- Manage customer support tickets from intake to resolution.
- Support product cutting, line reviews, new item setup, and costing.
- Maintain product specification catalogs and documentation.
- Monitor retail execution including shelf availability, modular compliance, pricing, and product quality.
- Partner with Business Units, R&D, Innovation, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with at least one semester remaining.
- Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work as a motivated, collaborative team member.
- Previous work experience is preferred, with sales or customer-facing experience strongly preferred.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Springdale, Arkansas.
- The role is on-site and requires being within a commutable distance of 60 miles or less.
- You will work 20 hours per week during the school year and 40 hours per week during the summer.
- This is a paid internship.
