About the role#
This is a rolling, year-round internship based at the Cobb-Vantress laboratory in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. You will gain hands-on experience in a production laboratory setting while supporting the health of our chickens. The program aims to prepare interns for future full-time employment by providing real-world experience and professional development.
What you'll do#
- Process samples in the laboratory on a daily basis.
- Monitor and support the health of chickens.
- Work with cross-functional leaders to complete projects.
- Demonstrate the Cobb RIGHT behaviors of respect, integrity, growth, humility, and teamwork.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing, with at least one year of schooling remaining.
- Preference for majors in Biology, Animal Science, or related fields.
- Previous work experience is preferred, with specific experience in a scientific field being a strong advantage.
- Strong computer skills, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to navigate browser-based applications.
- Strong multitasking abilities and a self-starting, collaborative attitude.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week during the summer and up to 20 hours per week during the school year.
Location & details#
- This role is located on-site in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
- Candidates must live within 60 miles of the office to be eligible.
- This is a paid, full-time internship position.
