About the role#
Turner Construction Company is hiring a Safety Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position. You will work on construction projects or in an office setting to support safety and loss control initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Help implement the Building L.I.F.E. safety program.
- Inspect jobsites and work areas, then help write inspection summaries.
- Support the administration of the drug screening program.
- Coordinate training sessions for safety meetings and orientations.
- Maintain essential safety records, including incident investigations and Job Hazard Analyses.
- Assist with preconstruction meetings and document the proceedings.
- Promote safe work practices that follow company policies and local, state, and federal regulations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Industrial, Civil, or Environmental Engineering programs.
- Ability to identify and report safety violations or unsafe conditions.
- Experience or interest in coordinating safety committees and tool box meetings.
- Ability to review subcontractor safety programs for compliance.
- Knowledge of how to maintain safety records like OSHA 300 logs and MSDS.
