About the role#
As a Human Resources Intern, you will support our HR team in Albany by managing daily administrative tasks and key department initiatives. You will work on-site to help maintain our internal systems, assist with talent acquisition, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. This role provides exposure to HR operations within the construction industry.
What you'll do#
- Support the HR team and help maintain company culture.
- Administer employee data changes and ensure information remains accurate in our HRIS, ATS, and LMS platforms.
- Manage electronic personnel files and assist with audit requests.
- Coordinate interview schedules and communicate with job applicants.
- Assist with college recruitment, career fairs, and onboarding material distribution.
- Support Diversity and Inclusion activities and OFCCP compliance tracking.
- Organize logistics for training events and HR meetings.
- Participate in A3 problem solving to improve team services.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Human Resources, Social Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database applications.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- An approachable, proactive attitude toward client service.
- Active listening skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Albany, New York.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Minimum of 20 hours per week, with Monday through Friday availability preferred.
- Compensation: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour.
