About the role#
The Maintenance Operations Intern works with our team to collect, analyze, and interpret operational data. This role provides hands-on experience in reporting, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. You will apply your technical and problem-solving skills to real-world operational challenges.
What you'll do#
- Collect, organize, and analyze operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for decision-making.
- Collaborate with teams to understand business processes and deliver actionable insights.
- Monitor key performance indicators to help improve efficiency and service levels.
- Support process improvement projects through research, data validation, and analysis.
- Assist with data quality audits to ensure accuracy across reporting tools.
- Prepare presentations and summaries to share findings with stakeholders.
- Participate in team meetings, project discussions, and operational reviews.
- Work on specific projects such as equipment transfers, equipment trackers, overtime tracking, OLE and CPDH projects, Gemba walks, and railroad communications.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex data to various audiences.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools like SQL, Python, R, Power BI, or Tableau is preferred.
- Familiarity with databases, business intelligence concepts, and working with large datasets.
- Knowledge of supply chain, transportation, logistics, fleet operations, or manufacturing processes is a plus.

- Physical requirements: General office environment. You may be required to travel. You must be able to remain stationary in a work area and occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
