About the role#
As a Memory Design Engineer Intern at TSMC Design Technology Canada, you will work on projects focused on advanced memory design and compiler development. You will work alongside a senior team member to contribute to specific project segments using advanced CMOS and FinFET processes. Your responsibilities will grow as you progress through your learning milestones.
What you'll do#
- Perform circuit design, analog simulation, functional verification, and debugging.
- Handle circuit characterization, transistor level implementation, and optimization.
- Manage net listing, flow scripting, design verification, and database tasks.
- Complete learning curve milestones established for your specific project objectives.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in the 2nd year of a master’s or PhD program in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- Background in circuit design, specifically with memory circuits.
- Competence using major custom design CAD tools, including schematic capture, simulators, and physical verification tools.
- Scripting and programming skills.
- Knowledge of AI and ML.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with enthusiasm.
- A commitment to learning and a long-term interest in the semiconductor industry.
- Prior internship experience in memory at other semiconductor companies and hands-on experience with memory macros or CIM are significant assets.
