About the role#
The Truist Audit Services (TAS) Internship Program is a summer opportunity for students to gain experience in internal auditing. You will be embedded within an audit team, working alongside professionals to learn the foundations of the audit process and Truist business operations. This program focuses on building your technical skills and professional network through hands-on assignments and developmental training.
What you'll do#
- Develop a basic understanding of internal audit, risk management, and internal controls.
- Work under the direction of a TAS teammate to perform assigned audit and advisory tasks.
- Receive ongoing performance coaching and feedback to build your professional skills.
- Use technology-based audit tools to complete assignments.
- Participate in training and meetings to build business acumen and learn about financial services processes.
- Network with leaders and teammates to form professional connections.
What you'll need#
- Scheduled graduation of your final degree (Bachelor's or Master's) between December 2027 and June 2029.
- Working toward a degree in accounting, mathematics, business, risk management, or a related field.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Solid decision-making and communication skills, including presentation experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Curiosity and a desire for ongoing learning.
- Experience in customer or client-facing positions.
- Familiarity with data manipulation and data storytelling.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and previous coursework in audit or risk management.
