About the role#
GreenStone Farm Credit Services is hiring a Tax & Accounting Intern for the winter season in East Lansing. This paid internship runs from December 2026 through April 2027. You will work on-site at the branch, assisting our team with tax preparation and accounting tasks during the busy season.
What you'll do#
- Process year end accounting information with the staff.
- Prepare payroll tax reports and various tax forms, including W-2 and 1099 documents.
- Help the Senior Tax Accountant with data entry for income tax returns.
- Provide basic tax support for individual clients.
- Manage your workload to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Support the team in providing quality customer service.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accounting degree program.
- At least sophomore status.
- An interest in tax preparation.
- Interest or experience in the agricultural sector.
Location & details#
- Location: East Lansing, Michigan.
- Schedule: Minimum of three days per week, 6 to 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
- Compensation: $20 per hour.
- Note: Some travel may be required.
