About the role#
GreenStone Farm Credit Services is hiring a Credit Underwriting Intern for our East Lansing office. This is a paid, full-time position running from January 2027 through August 2027. You will work directly with our underwriting team to gain experience in residential and rural lending.
What you'll do#
- Analyze mortgage loan requests.
- Review financial statements, credit reports, and collateral documentation.
- Gather and validate customer financial data to ensure accurate analysis.
- Prepare and submit Private Mortgage Insurance (PMI) loans to providers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Agriculture, Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Sophomore status or higher.
- Minimum GPA of 3.00.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills and a self-motivated approach to learning.
- An interest or background in agriculture is preferred.

- The role is based on-site in East Lansing, Michigan.
- This is a paid internship at $20 per hour.
