About the role#
GreenStone Farm Credit Services is hiring an Appraisal Intern for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid position based in East Lansing, Michigan. You will work on-site to assist our appraisal team with personal property valuations and gain hands-on experience in the agricultural finance industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the completion of personal property appraisals and valuations.
- Conduct on-site inspections of personal property collateral.
- Collect and analyze comparable sales data.
- Complete personal property value studies, such as the Dairy Cattle Valuation Study.
- Support staff in providing customer service.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with sophomore status or above.
- Preferred majors include business, finance, or related fields.
- A minimum GPA of 3.00.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- A strong interest in or prior experience within the agricultural sector.
- Self-motivation and a willingness to learn.
