About the role#
GreenStone Farm Credit Services is hiring a Crop Insurance Intern for the summer of 2027. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in East Lansing, Michigan. You will support our team by managing crop insurance tasks and helping maintain accurate records for our customers.
What you'll do#
- Review acreage reports and verify information against data from the insured or the Farm Service Agency.
- Input and upload updated reports into the insurance provider system.
- Manage document storage and recordkeeping using Journey+ and OnBase.
- Prepare fall production reports and applications by downloading, printing, and mailing them to insured parties.
What you'll need#
- You must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in agriculture, agribusiness, or business.
- Sophomore status or higher is required.
- A minimum GPA of 3.00.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills and a desire to work well with a team.
- A genuine interest in the agricultural sector.
- Ability to stay self-motivated and learn new processes.
