About the role#
This internship is part of the Truist Audit Services Early Talent Program. You will work alongside experienced professionals to learn the foundations of internal auditing and the Truist audit process. This is a paid, full-time summer 2027 opportunity open only to 2026 Truist interns. You will be embedded within a team to gain hands-on experience in risk management, internal controls, and financial services.
What you'll do#
- Develop a basic knowledge of internal auditing, including risk management and monitoring.
- Build foundational skills in audit and technology-based audit tools.
- Work under the direction of a senior team member to complete assigned audit and advisory tasks.
- Participate in all assigned training, development opportunities, and audit meetings.
- Network with leaders and teammates to build professional connections.
- Receive ongoing performance coaching and feedback.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or advanced degree program in accounting, mathematics, or business.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
- A proven curiosity and desire for ongoing learning.

- This is an on-site role based in Charlotte, North Carolina, or Atlanta, Georgia.
- The internship takes place during the summer of 2027.
- This position is open exclusively to 2026 Truist interns.
