About the role#
This internship provides practical training in petroleum industry accounting. You will work across various functions, including general accounting, tax, internal audit, and operations. You will learn to use specialized software and gain exposure to the financial mechanics of an integrated energy company.
What you'll do#
- Analyze and process business documents.
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing budgets.
- Analyze accounting and financial data to create journal entries.
- Test SOX and non-SOX controls.
- Build professional relationships with teams outside the Controller's Organization.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program or higher with a major in Accounting.
- Strong academic performance.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Reliable transportation to the work site.
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
