About the role#
Trexo Robotics is looking for a Mechatronics Engineering intern to join our team in Mississauga. You will support the design, documentation, and testing of new product features and improvements to our existing devices. This is a full-time, on-site role for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Build prototypes for R&D parts, jigs, fixtures, and packaging.
- Manage CAD drawings, Bills of Materials, and Engineering Change Orders.
- Research and select off-the-shelf components for new designs.
- Design and set up experiments and tests for new prototypes and changes.
- Troubleshoot software, electrical, and mechanical issues from returned devices.
- Help the manufacturing team implement new tools and processes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary program (Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering).
- Experience with mechatronic system design.
- Ability to create drawings for sheet metal fabrication and machining.
- Proficiency with Solidworks, Onshape, and 3D printing.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and an interest in exoskeletons.
- Experience with injection molded part design, Python scripts, and Linux is an asset.
- Hands-on experience with soldering and crimping.
Location & details#
- Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 11, 2027 to April 30, 2027), with potential for 8 or 12-month extensions.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
- Candidates must have legal authorization to work in Canada. We cannot provide visa sponsorship.
