About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship based in Atlanta, Georgia. You will work on-site at customer locations, supporting the installation of building automation systems. This role is open to students pursuing degrees in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Environmental, or Computer Engineering, as well as Business Administration.
What you'll do#
- Install building automation systems using your knowledge of low voltage electricity and electronics.
- Interpret control drawings, plans, and specifications to install temperature control systems, including conduit, enclosures, wiring, and end devices.
- Prepare for on-site installations by examining building layouts, gathering materials, and coordinating with other trades.
- Document your work by completing paperwork for each job, including tracking time and progress.
- Maintain assigned inventory and company equipment.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 year of experience pulling wire and running conduit.
- A valid driver's license held for a minimum of 12 months.
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Previous experience installing HVAC controls or electrical work is a plus.
